Volunteer for a day
‘Volunteer for a day’ is a perfect opportunity to get insight in the work of our sister organizations Dream Africa Care Foundation and FAFA Foundation. You get to see and experience the kind of projects we support, our way of working and how (international) volunteers try to help the local communities.
Morning- Program
We pick you up in the morning at an agreed location in Accra. We try to plan the program depending on your preferences. You can choose to do only visits get information about it, but you also get the change to participate yourself.
In the morning you get the option to visit or participate in the following projects:
- New Life Children’s Home, is a home and school for orphans and underprivileged children.
- Future leaders, a school for street, orphans and underprivileged children. For most children this school is free and the children get one-on-one tutor and coaching.
After lunch, you get the option to visit one or a combination out the following projects:
- Soccer project, a sport coaching project to keep underprivileged children from the street and help them to grow in self-confidence.
- Brain sharpness, an evening school project to provide extra classes to the children in the Teshie fishing community that have little access to education.
- New Life Children’s Home, is a home and school for orphans and underprivileged children in Nungua.
Price
The fee of €30,- /¢120,- per person will partly be spent to support the projects. This price includes transportation, a guide, drinking water and lunch.
For who?
‘Volunteer for a day’ is suitable for children, teenagers, adults and elderly. We offer this day trip to singles and small groups.
Available dates
‘Volunteer for a day’ is available from Monday till Thursday. We also offer you the option to participate as a volunteer for a week.
